This is Joyce, My goodness I am a little behind on Miss Josie and Aunt Leanne. I doubt you have had the time to read through Sarah's entire blog, so I will summarize and tell you we have been told a total of nine times that Sarah would not make it through the night. Constant collapsed lungs, plummeting oxygen saturations, pulmonary hypertension and a collapsed airway resulting in a permanent trach for seven years. But look at Sarah today. NEVER give up. I have fired more doctors than I care to recall(Yes Dr. Doom and Gloom can be replaced) and have written up enough residents to maka an HR director cringe, but if that is what it takes to keep your daughter alive you do it. When Sarah turned ten we had a huge "one decade of life party" and invited all the medical professionals who helped to keep her alive(like Nurse Krista). Last week we had an even grander 21st birthday celebration. Keep fighting Miss Josie!!! We are praying for you.
