Our prayers are being answered!

During rounds this morning, the nurse pulled up Josie's x-ray and stunned all of the doctors, fellows, and residents.  You don't even have to be a medical professional to interpret these results:

There is a significant decrease in the haziness in her right lung.  That "gunk" in her lungs appears to be disappearing!  Dr. Doom & Gloom even said "When she gets off the ventilator..."  Ha!  Shame on him for giving up on her and for breaking our hearts.  She is a strong little girl who will persevere!

I must reiterate our sincere appreciation to everyone for your love, support, and prayers for this little baby of ours.  Please keep it up - it's working!

  5. Aubrey had major lung issues post surgery and we spent three weeks in the hospital trying to rid her off all the "gunk" (funny, they don't have a more specific and medical name for it:). She finally progressed and got better, but I will warn you to start seeing, or get one on board now, a pulminologist. He has been our life saver and had we known that post surgery, was something that she would deal with her whole life, we might have avoided a week stay in the hospital last winter. They keep a very close eye on her lungs. We see him once a month (unless sick) during "winter season" and then as needed during the summer. I so wish he had been part of her surgery stay and am so thankful for him now. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to email me. I would love to help.

More prayers for health and improvement!
