Christmas Card Photo Shoot Outtakes

Because of our rigid winter quarantine, a trip to the Sears Portrait Studio was out of the question so we set up our own Christmas card photo shoot at home.  The two "grandmas" (oh how they hate when we call them that!) were kind enough to supply adorable Christmas dresses for Josie to wear.  We created backdrops out of blankets we had around the house and we even threw in a couple of props.  However, getting the perfect Christmas card photo would prove a little more difficult than we had anticipated...

First, we had to overcome our fascination with the props.
Then, Lillian had to overcome her obsession with stealing the spotlight.
Then, we had to remind Daddy not to spruce up "the talent" when Mommy was trying to take a picture.

Trying to keep "the talent" focused on the task at hand was sort of challenging...

And finally our little holiday model let us know that she had had enough.
Cut!  That's a wrap!

Luckily, we did get a glimpse of Josie's photogenic side.  The current contenders are being reviewed by a top secret panel of judges (ie grandparents) and we'll let you know when we have a winner.

  1. Oh I think those are all winners! Josie you are the cutest!

  2. these are great pictures!! I love them! :)

  3. Oh, what a good sport you've got!!! MUCH more cooperative than Grinch Pudge during our first attempts at under-quarantine photography...can't wait to see the results of the panelists' scoring...

  4. Thanks for this. I totally laughed at loud (kinda surprised my little Nava too). Best outtakes (and commentary) e v e r! :)

  5. It has to be the yawning picture.

  6. Oh I love the first one! She is a gift! My attempts were wayyyyyy less successful. Yes- after my attempts- I find yours totally successful!

  7. The "outtakes" are adorable...can only imagine how cute the other pics are! Incidentally, I did the same thing when my son was under "quarantine" last year. :)

So cute although I think it might be hard to take a poor picture of little miss Josie. So cute. Can't wait to see the final cut.
