Candid Confessions of the Chromosomally Enhanced

Here at CCE, we strive to remain positive, but we're not one of those blogs that sugarcoats reality.  As long as Aunt Leanne is involved, that is impossible to do.  Girlfriend has never been one to mince words.  She calls it like she sees it.  If you can't handle the truth, don't ask Leanne.

When Leanne is visiting, she always comes and says goodnight before heading off to bed.  Over the weekend I was able to record one of these frank pre-bedtime chats and I took advantage of the opportunity to allow Leanne to reflect on each family member and share her insights...the truth hurts!

  1. I love her. She could be Kristen's twin sister.

  6. Goodness gracious Leanne must be so much fun to have around!! Her honesty reminds me of my 13-yr-old chromosonally enhanced daughter who definitely isn't afraid to speak her mind and tell the truth :)

  7. She is so funny, I love how she tells it like it is :-) But, you know what I really love...how much you can tell she loves your family :-)

  8. I love this. I love your sister relationship (and you got off lightly!). I do have a question though, which you can OF COURSE choose not to answer (but I'm really curious). Does Leann smile very much? Perhaps she's just concentrating when you're filming her, but she seems very serious most of the time! You seem like a really fun and loving family so it seems funny that she would be serious. Just wondering.

    Thanks as always for sharing.

  9. Hi Jaida - it's so funny that you ask that because Leanne is one of the happiest, most jovial people I know! I suppose she was focusing on her responses when I was filming her. However, if you look at the previous post, she is smiling in most of the pictures.

  10. Ok, I loved this one to tears. You guys give me a glimpse into my girls' future relationship (I hope) and it is so cool to see! My oldest daughter is 6 and in first grade and she is our super chromosomal kid. ;) My middle daughter is 4 and we have a 10 month old son. Every time I hear my girls off in the other room building forts and playing restaurant it makes me smile. I always wonder what they will be like as adults and your blog is so neat because it's like a little peak into what could be. So cool! btw, Natalie does the EXACT same thing with our baby monitor...and Ipad actually. She is like a technogeek already. Her daddy is so proud. hahaa! Anyway, I read your blog and every once in awhile something jumps out and I like to let you know you have a fan out there. This video literally made me tear up. Thank you for putting reality out there. It makes this mama's heart sing <3

  11. Leeanne make me smile and laugh. That "fainting" remark really had me snorting :) I love the relationship you two have. Your Momma did a great job with the two of you!
