Leanne Dishes On Her Birthday Date

Leanne recently celebrated a birthday by going out to dinner with the ever-so-handsome Mike (not to be confused with "cute" - he prefers to be referred to as "handsome" and he'll tell you so).  Loyal readers will remember Mike from this post (click HERE).  Here's a photo of the good looking couple outside of the restaurant:
My mom took Leanne out to dinner and she and Mike's mom dined at a separate table to let the couple have their privacy.  I haven't really had a chance to hear about the date directly from Leanne until last night.  And in true Leanne style, the emphasis was on the food, she didn't hesitate to share her thoughts on the wardrobe, and she even gave me the exclusive "don't-tell-mom" details (Mom, this video is off limits):

Thanks, Leanne.  We're so glad you enjoyed your date with that dreamboat of yours!

Stay tuned because I plan to draft a long post (or maybe several posts) about the National Down Syndrome Congress Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.  I just returned and I'm bursting with excitement, fun stories, and good information to share!

  1. Oh I love your sister! Happy belated birthday Leanne!

  2. Typical teen and I LOVED it! What a sweet laugh it gave me. Yes indeed the world is so enriched with precious ones like this sweet gal. I so look forward to each post and it always warms my heart. Thank you for being you too!

  3. Oh my goodness... she is a hoot! I laughed out loud when she said she TOLD him to get her a Starbucks gift card... and when she raised her eyebrows when she told you about his hug & kiss. They are both so cute! (Oops, I mean, he is handsome and Leanne is cute!) :)

I love your blog. I've been following it for a while now. I stumbled across it somehow... maybe a link from another blog? To tell you the truth, I can't even remember. :) I work with a lot of adults with Down Syndrome and my cousin's little boy has it as well. I adore them all! They are all unique but so sweet and so much fun! What a blessing they are to me and everyone!

  4. Oh my gosh, this is great!! Coming from the 'mom' side I love the nosy part! (Beth will often share things with her sisters that she won't tell me!) Course I always find out. Mom's always do! :)

  5. Sounds like the perfect date - with all that good food and oreo icecream and oreo cake, yum! Leanne, you looked gorgeous in that dress and your boo is very handsome. Thank you for sharing your date with us. And woohooo and hug and a kiss! I promise I won't tell either ;)

  6. Her expression while telling you about the hug and kiss is priceless :)
Leanne, you're a real foodie and you have good taste in men, too.
