Red Wine: Good For Your Heart, Bad For Your Computer

Last night, I was uploading cute photos of Josie to the blog when it happened...the Great Wine Debacle of 2010 (not to be confused with the Great Frappuccino Debacle of 2002 but let's not talk about that).  Just one clumsy hand movement and my laptop was covered in 337 Cabernet (which I highly recommend, by the way - the Cabernet, not spilling wine in your laptop).  Just like that, the screen went black.

As I dissolved into a pile of tears, that eternally cool and collected husband of mine grabbed that laptop, unplugged it and set it upside down  to drain on a pile of paper towels as he attempted to reassure me that I hadn't lost all of my photos from Josie's first 7 months.  He even tried to console me by thanking me for giving him the great privilege of shopping for a new computer - after all, it is his favorite thing.

On the bright side, I do live at Technology Central and I am married to Mr. Technology so rest assured that Confessions of the Chromosomally Enhanced will come back stronger than ever; however, the blog postings may be on hiatus until we get the situation stabilized.  Because, while Mr. Technology is normally sweet, flexible, and happy to accommodate, he is rather grouchy when it comes to sharing his super-expensive, super-fancy, customized-with-all-the-bells-and-whistles-not-for-amateur-consumption, computer equipment.  So I guess I should probably take my cup of coffee and back away from his desk and we'll pretend this post never happened!  Shhhhhh!

Until next time...

  4. I can completely sympathize! You know I am married to Mr. Tech Savvy as well. He never lets me touch his computer. I spilled coke on my laptop a month ago and he had it all taken apart and put 10 fans on it to dry it out. Luckily mine survived. Here's to a new fancy computer for you!
