Josie conquered and outgrew her old gait trainer so our fantastic physical therapist, Bea, brought over a new one. This one allows Josie to graduate to the next degree of difficulty because it has fewer supports and is more challenging to propel and steer.
She looked good coming out of the gate...
She utilized the slope of the driveway to gain speed and momentum...
Doesn't it look like she's going really fast?!
Well, it's an illusion. You see, Josie seems to be experiencing a lack of motivation.
She's less concerned about learning to walk and more concerned about the buttons on her coat...
...and the zipper on her jacket...
While she doesn't really feel like using her gait trainer for walking, she's delighted to pose with her new wheels...

Y'all know what I'm talking about...
Of course that doesn't stop her from eliciting praise...
You know our Josie is the queen of shameless self promotion

Except Josie didn't climb any steps. She didn't even move!
Daddy even tried to work his magic and teach her to use her new device...
...but she wasn't having it.
So we employed the age old parenting technique: the classic "We're-going-to-leave-and-go-in-the-house-so-you-better-get-moving-or-you're-going-to-get-ditched!"
And she happily called our bluff.

Oh Josie...
She is so cute! I have never seen a trainer like that until Josie had one. I wonder if we ought to ask our DT about it?!? One thing is certain, she sure is cute!
