In this post, we told you that Josie was being fitted for her very own pair of SureStep SMO's - little braces designed to counteract the effects of low muscle tone and enhance stability. Josie was extra excited when her physical therapist told her that her SureSteps were ready to be picked up!

Just like magic, Josie's apprehension faded and she confidently stood and even took a few steps with the assistance of Dave, the orthotist. I don't know who was more proud - me or Josie!
This calls for a round of applause!
Walking is just around the corner and we can't wait to see how much more mischief Miss Josie JoJo can get into!

ReplyDeleteOur DT says she has never heard of SureSteps :-( I have been very confident in her up until that statement. Abbie is doing some funky ankle turning and foot flopping when she is walking, so....Im thinking we need to get something for her asap! As for Josie, amazing and fantastic as usual. What a girl! :-)
