No, we're not talking major surgery here. We're talking about Josie giving Elbow (Elmo) a well deserved day off yesterday when she discovered Hans, the yodeling mouse.
At least we think he's a mouse. We can't be certain. He's a little trinket Travis brought back from one of his business trips to Germany. He's been buried in a drawer in the playroom for months and yesterday Josie dug him out and fell in love. Yes, it's weird. Like "Chicken in my Closet" weird. But the heart wants what the heart wants. And anymore these days, nothing surprises me with Josie.
(Pardon the hair. We decided to experiment for fun yesterday.)
And the auditorily offensive repertoire of Elmo's six screechy tunes suddenly sound like they deserve a Grammy compared to this! I must have heard that crazy yodel 800 times yesterday! It continued to play in my head long after she went to bed. But hey, whatever makes her happy. Oh and unlike Elbow, Hans, the yodeling mouse, doesn't have replaceable batteries, so when it's done, it's done! I may be inviting Mama Hop's cat to come visit if that day doesn't arrive soon! I bet Hans tastes like schnitzel...
My 20 month old twin girls love anything Josie and Aunt Leanne. Too cute!

That is adorable (Josie not the yodeling mouse)!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about these stuffed characters that sing? Justin brought home a Justin "Beaver" from his last business trip...complete with snug-fitting hoodie and crooning "Baby, Baby" in a cartoon vermin voice. I could throttle him.
ReplyDeleteJosie is so cute hugging and kissing Hans. :)
ReplyDeleteJosie rocks that 'do.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable!!! She is so cute and love her hair!
ReplyDeleteI swear I heard Merryn in the background say "Mama". LOL You are so blessed in so many ways!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Joy loved every second of it!!
